Chew Valley Lake & Breach Hill Walk 🥾

🙋 Member-led by Nick W Come along for a really lovely 6.5 mile (10.5km) walk through gentle fields and quiet woods just north of the Mendip Hills. Pub stop included! Our weekend walks are a great way to explore the outdoors and meet new people. Walks every weekend near Bath & Bristol.

🚗 Free parking in Herons Green layby (BS40 6NH) to start.
Watch the birds at Chew Valley Lake (very low at the moment) while we wait for people to arrive, then head out into countryside between Chew and Blagdon Lakes.
Epic waterfall halfway.
About two-thirds in, the route passes through Chew Stoke (beautiful) where there is a really cosy pub, ideal for a drink or lunch, though it’s worth bringing snacks too.
The whole walk usually takes between 4 and 5 hours with stops.
I’ve walked it twice before and know the route well enough to lead from memory.
