Circle Stories (150 Spaces)

The presentation doesn't have to be ready now, but a basic idea of what you'll talk about is good so we can organise around it!

Topics: The topics can be about anything. Come with an open mind, leave with new perspectives and knowledge. In the previous editions, we had an amazingly wide range of topics: tech, psychology, politics, sociology, philosophy, self-care, food, geology, and so much more!

Event Format: Depending on the number of presentations, speakers will present, and we'll have time at the end of each presentation for questions. There are breaks between presentations as well and (optionally) a mystery slot at the end open for any impromptu speakers if we have time.

Presentation format: To keep it simple, we're limiting presentations to 20 minutes per presenter. This is just a guideline; the whole point is to have fun, so don't worry too much about it.

I am trying to keep this event as open and welcoming as possible.

However, here are some rules we'd all like to stick to, please.

1. Respect each other

2. Come with an open mind, leave your ego at home

3. All topics and everyone are welcome

4. There are breaks midway. Please buy drinks to support the venue

5. No Recording (unless the speaker specifically asks to be recorded)

6. Leave questions to the end, don't interrupt the speaker (unless they specifically want questions as they go)

7. This isn't a debate club. Questions are welcome. You don't have to go back and forth if you disagree, take that to the break

8. Talk about anything you want. This applies to future you and to current speakers so keep that in mind
