🎆 Fireworks Night on Midsummer Common 🎆

Thursday 5 November · Meet 6pm · Fireworks at 7pm

This year’s show is put on by Pains Fireworks. They’ve been at it since 1593, and may even have supplied the gunpowder for the original 1605 plot! They’re promising their biggest Cambridge display yet, and it’s fully carbon neutral too.

What’s on

✨ From 6pm: a live DJ, food stalls and roaming performers. Look out for two giant caribou puppets and a pair of stilt-walking jellyfish gliding through the crowd.

🎇 7pm: the main fireworks display.

The plan

We’ll meet In front of the venue Pub at 6pm and leave at 6.15pm to head into the fun.

Good to know

💷 Entry is free. There are donation buckets at the end of the night, and the money goes towards next year’s city events.

🚌 Thousands of people come, so walk, cycle or take the bus if you can. Stagecoach is running extra buses, and roads around the Common will be closed. Details are at camcityevents.co.uk.

🧣 Wrap up warm and wear comfy shoes, because the Common can get muddy.
