Travel Tips:

You can either get the 47 or x45 bus, which has stops including

•⁠ ⁠Eldon Square bus station,

•⁠ ⁠central station,

•⁠ ⁠or the MetroCentre

Alternatively, you can drive. There is free on-street parking around town (there is a car park here too but it may be in use by construction vehicles due to maintenance on the nearby viaduct https://maps.app.goo.gl/33Y7iiNAvbNQqB186)

Walk Details:

It's 6miles approx with some hills. Mostly woodland, and will take you along an old repurposed railway line and through Chopwell woods. There are some hills/slopes but I wouldn't say it's difficult! It is great for nature (hotspot for red kites) and sometimes highland cows in fields next to some of the paths!

Bring a packed lunch with you (or buy something at Tesco), as we'll stop by the picnic benches part way though

For those who want to stay longer, we can get a drink at the tavern and play some pub games (I'll bring "Meow" and "No Thanks")
